Iggy Azalea for Revolve Clothing
The Australian rapper and style icon made quite a splash stateside with her new album The New Classic and catchy anthem “Fancy,” with alternative pop star Charli XCX. Anybody who does a music video homage to Clueless is A OK is our book.
We’ve been following Azalea since 2011 but it seems the fashion world finally took notice and booked her in Revolve Clothing’s new summer campaign. At a statuesque 5’10 and cheekbones that could kill, it’s no wonder Iggy can pull of any style they throw at her. With the theme “pretty tomboy,” the Aussie pin-up sports designs from Lovers + Friends, Shakuhachi, Minimale Animale, with varsity-inspired looks and photo-realistic prints that scream summer vacation.
From a sporty jersey to cutout dress and hip-hugging midi skirts – she is the very embodiment of tomboy chic. Revolve describes the campaign as “edge to feminine pieces with unexpected layers, pastels, leather, and floral.” Our favorite piece is the mixed-media bright white jacket with shocking florals. It’s the perfect spring jacket that incorporates florals without losing any street cred. In addition to starring in their summer campaign, Iggy will also be sharing her top picks for summer and spilling her style secrets for Revolve’s Spotlight section. The site will also be carrying her tour merchandise from her North American tour, which features hot gear you’d actually want to wear and not XXL t-shirts with cities on the back. When looking to sell swimwear, snagging the world’s hottest Brazilian supermodel is probably your best bet. For their summer swim campaign, H&M recruited Gisele Bündchen to show off their summer style in swim and casual beachwear. Bündchen smolders on every spread, shot on location in sandy beaches and the sweltering jungle of Costa Rica. In addition to the barely-there swimwear, she also sports tropical print sundresses, ikat separates and cute cutoffs. For the woman who practically invited the term “beachy wave,” she wears cover-ups like she’s walking the red carpet. Elle Macpherson may just have to relinquish her nickname as “the body.” And as an extra bonus, Bündchen also channels Blondie for her cover of “Heart of Glass,” wearing summer’s latest designs.
